Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Faajii app, website and related services. Please read them carefully. By creating an account, hosting an event, buying a ticket, sending a gift or otherwise using Faajii, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

About us

Faajii is a product of Trouve Tech Limited (“we”, “us” or “our”), a company registered at Lagos, Nigeria. Faajii is an events platform: it helps hosts plan events, collect RSVPs, sell tickets and merchandise, receive gifts and share short clips from the night.

Throughout these Terms, “you” means the person using the service — whether as a host (someone creating an event, gift link or store) or as a guest (someone attending, paying or gifting).

Acceptance of these Terms

By accessing Faajii, creating an account, or completing any transaction, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Eligibility

To use Faajii, you must:

  • be at least 18 years old, or have the consent of a parent or guardian;
  • have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract under the laws of Nigeria; and
  • provide accurate, current and complete information when you register and when you transact.

Some features — in particular the Faajii Purse and payouts — may require additional identity verification before you can use them.

Your account

You are responsible for everything that happens under your account, including keeping your password and transaction PIN confidential. Do not share your PIN with anyone, including someone claiming to work for us — we will never ask for it.

Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access. We may suspend an account while we investigate suspected fraud, a security incident or a breach of these Terms.

Our services

Faajii brings several things into one place:

  • Collaborative planning — a task tracker, live budget, co-planners and a vendor list.
  • RSVP & ticketing — a public event page, guest list management, and tickets validated by QR scan.
  • Faajii Store — sell tickets, merch, products or services from your event.
  • Gift Links — a Birthday page or Secret Santa exchange that accepts cash and gifts.
  • Faajii Purse — a wallet for receiving, holding and sending event money.
  • Vibes — short clips posted from events.
  • Custom wristbands — printed and delivered to order.

We may add, change, suspend or withdraw features at any time. Where a change materially reduces a paid feature you are actively using, we will give reasonable notice.

Hosting events

If you host an event, you are the organiser of that event — not us. You are responsible for:

  • the accuracy of your event listing, including date, time, venue, pricing and what a ticket entitles the holder to;
  • actually delivering the event, and for any cancellation, postponement or change;
  • holding any permits, licences or insurance the event requires, and complying with venue rules and local law; and
  • handling your guests’ personal information responsibly, including any guest list you export.

We provide the tools; we do not run, endorse, inspect or underwrite your event. Disputes about an event are between the host and the guest, though we will help with transaction records where we reasonably can.

Tickets, payments and fees

  • Prices are set by the host and shown before you confirm. The price that applies is the one displayed at the moment you confirm.
  • Payment is taken by Mobile Money, Faajii Purse or another method offered at checkout, through our payment partners. You may be asked to approve a prompt on your phone or enter a one-time password.
  • You confirm you are authorised to use the account you pay from.
  • A service fee may be added to the total, and payment providers may apply their own charges. Fees are shown before you confirm.
  • Tickets are issued with a QR code. Treat it like cash — anyone holding a valid code may be admitted.

We may decline, cancel or limit any transaction where we suspect fraud, abuse, or a technical or pricing error.

Faajii Purse and payouts

The Faajii Purse lets you hold funds collected through tickets, your store and gift links, and to send or withdraw them. Payouts are made to the Mobile Money or bank details you provide — please check them carefully, as we cannot recover money sent to details you entered incorrectly.

Transactions may require your PIN. We may place a hold on funds, or delay a payout, where we are required to by law, where identity verification is outstanding, or where we are investigating a suspected fraudulent or disputed transaction.

The Purse is a facility for using Faajii — it is not a bank account, it does not earn interest, and balances are not deposits.

Faajii Store and merchandise

If you sell through the Store, you are the seller. You are responsible for describing items accurately, holding enough stock, honouring any discount code you create, fulfilling orders, and meeting your obligations to buyers under consumer law.

You must not list anything illegal, counterfeit, unsafe, or that you do not have the right to sell.

Custom wristbands

Wristband orders are printed to your specification. By uploading artwork you confirm you own it or have permission to use it, and you accept responsibility for any third-party rights it may infringe. We may refuse artwork that is unlawful or offensive.

Because they are made to order, wristbands cannot be cancelled once production has begun, except where they arrive faulty or materially different from what was ordered. Printed colours may vary slightly from what you see on screen, and delivery estimates are estimates.

Refunds and cancellations

  • Host-cancelled events: if a host cancels, the host is responsible for refunding ticket holders. Where funds are still held in the platform, we will normally reverse them to the original payment method.
  • Change of mind: whether a ticket can be refunded is set by the host’s own refund policy, shown on the event page.
  • Payment taken but nothing delivered: if you were charged and received no ticket, order or credit, contact us and we will re-attempt or refund.
  • Duplicate or failed charges are refunded.
  • Gifts and delivered digital items are generally non-refundable once received.

Approved refunds go back to the original payment method and may take several business days depending on the providers involved. Contact us with your transaction reference as early as you can.

Your content and Vibes

You keep ownership of the photos, clips, artwork and text you post. By posting, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce and display that content for the purpose of operating and promoting the service. This licence ends when you delete the content, except for copies retained in backups or where we must keep them by law.

You confirm you have the rights to what you post, including the consent of identifiable people appearing in it. Do not post content that is unlawful, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit involving minors, or that infringes someone else’s rights. We may remove content and suspend accounts that breach this.

Acceptable use

You agree that you will not:

  • use Faajii for any unlawful, fraudulent or abusive purpose, including money laundering;
  • create fake events or gift links, or collect money for something you do not intend to deliver;
  • use payment accounts you are not authorised to use, or initiate dishonest chargebacks;
  • duplicate, resell or forge tickets or QR codes;
  • probe, overload, disrupt or gain unauthorised access to our systems or another user’s account; or
  • scrape the service or use automated means in a way that interferes with it.

Third-party services

Faajii relies on third parties, including payment processors, Mobile Money providers, print and delivery partners, hosting providers and the app stores. Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms. We are not responsible for their acts, omissions, outages or charges.

Intellectual property

The Faajii name, logo, website and app content, design and underlying software are owned by or licensed to Trouve Tech Limited and are protected by applicable laws. You may not copy, reproduce, modify or distribute them without our prior written permission. Third-party names and logos are the property of their respective owners and are used for identification only.

Disclaimers

The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law we make no warranties, express or implied, that it will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free, or that any event listed on it will take place as described. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights you have that cannot be excluded under the laws of Nigeria.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Trouve Tech Limited, its directors and staff will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill or business opportunity, arising out of or in connection with your use of Faajii.

Where we are found liable, our total liability for any claim relating to a transaction is limited to the amount you paid for that transaction.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Trouve Tech Limited, its directors and staff from any claims, losses, liabilities and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, an event you host, content you post, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using Faajii and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access where you breach these Terms, where we are required to by law, or where continuing would expose us or other users to risk. Where funds are held in your Purse at closure, we will pay out any balance you are entitled to, subject to verification and any legal hold.

How we handle your personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page and the “Last updated” date is revised. Where a change is material we will make reasonable efforts to notify you. Your continued use after changes are posted means you accept them.

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, whose courts have jurisdiction over any dispute. We encourage you to contact us first so we can try to resolve the matter informally.
